Bitterroot Valley drivers are dealing with slick, snow-covered roads this Wednesday morning. A fast-moving snow storm has dropped two inches of snow in some places of the area and wind is also causing some reduced visibility. Traffic accidents are being reported this morning. Rain on the roadways froze overnight and the ice is covered by the snow. The early shot of winter is more evident as you travel east, with dangerous conditions on Homestake Pass near Butte and high winds and snow in eastern Montana.

The snowfall will be replaced with clearing skies and cold temperatures through the day and slow warmup into the weekend. Drive carefully.
