Poverello Center Sends Call for Help Due to Extended Cold Snap
Community Medical Center has shared a plea for help from the Poverello Center, as the extended cold snap has created an urgent need for supplies, food and cash.
Director of Marketing and Communications for Community Medical Center, Megan Condra, said the Poverello Center is in dire need of community assistance.
“Due to the extended record cold snap, they’ve been exceeding their capacity and they’re going to have to start turning people away because they just don’t have room,” said Condra. “They’re also in need of just basic human necessities, such as toilet paper, blankets, towels, hand warmers, gloves, hats, and especially for the women and children out there in the Missoula Community.”
Condra said Community Medical Center is offering many of its clinic locations as drop-off points for those who wish to contribute supplies.
“Here at the hospital in our cafeteria you can donate, also at Community First Care at Trempers, our North Reserve Clinic, and for the folks down in the Bitterroot, our Lolo and Stevensville clinics will also have drop-off locations.”
The Poverello Center is located at 1110 West Broadway in Missoula, call 728-1809 to get more details about dropping off supplies directly.
