Player of the Week Honor for Griz Football Standout

With the intense, nerve-wracking way that game was going Saturday, I'd say we needed every one of these tackles!

Our congrats to University of Montana Grizzly linebacker Connor Strahm, who on Monday was named the Big Sky Conference/ROOT Sports Defensive Player of the Week. Connor had a monster day, recording 16 tackles in Montana's 17-15 win over Northern Arizona. He also forced a fumble that led to the Griz go-ahead touchdown in the third quarter.

Nice job, Connor! Keep it up Saturday against Northern Colorado. Another home game for the Griz. Scott Gurnsey and I will be on the air at 11:00 with the Statewide Pregame Tailgate Show.
