Missoula's new soup restaurant is inviting the community to help them promote sustainable practices by dropping off your mismatched stainless steel silverware to be used for their to-go utensils. We love this idea and encourage you to clean out your utensil drawer to help. Perfect timing for me as we just moved and I'm wondering why a family of 3 needs 4 billion forks of all sizes.

Every 20 pieces donated gets a $2 voucher to the restaurant and you will be helping to reduce the amount of single use items going to the landfill. As they say, positive change has to start somewhere. No contact drop off is this weekend, July 17th & 18th, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Soup Farm, at 901 North Orange street, just south of the Ole's on the Northside. Getting take out that comes with recycled utensils is so on brand for Missoula!

Soup Farm is a project launched by the same folks who owned the Red Bird, Laura and Jim Tracy, so I feel like we're in for some bomb soup. 2020 is a tough year to stay in business, let alone start up a new restaurant, so they haven't opened to the public quite yet, but we're looking forward to getting over there as soon as we get the green light. Naturally, we'll let you know as soon as we hear Soup Farm is open, you can keep an eye out on their Facebook page, too.
