You don't have to suffer COVID-19 to be affected by it emotionally, we certainly saw proof of that in the year that most are calling the worst year of their lives. Montanans who have found themselves unemployed, homeless, or choosing between groceries and rent are some extreme examples of how we have been affected emotionally. Others have actually suffered the virus and report that 90 days into recovery, they still feel foggy, sad, unsettled, frustrated, and physically and emotionally exhausted. Even those who have not been affected directly are frightened, worried, and mentally exhausted from so many changes and uncertainties.

With all of that in mind, a resource called Montana Crisis Recovery is offering FREE, COVID-19 specific emotional support. If you, or someone you know, if experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, sadness, or fear, you are certainly not alone. I know it's easy to feel alone right now as your extended family, your close friend circle, your colleagues, they are all dealing with COVID stress too, and you feel bad reaching out to talk. Typically these are our go-to peeps, and none of us know how to navigate having everyone dealing with crisis all at once. That's what this service is for, to offer an actual human to speak with, a Crisis Counselor, with anonymous support that is just one phone call away.

You can reach the support line at 877-503-0833 or find them online HERE. Counselors are available to talk throughout the week, Monday through Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Though this pandemic has gone on so long that we as a society have kind of grown used to it, it's still a global pandemic, a huge deal, and you're not alone. Seeking support, resources, education, and simply reaching are all positive steps that you can take.
