The annual Bob Marshall Music Festival is set to take place this weekend, August 6th and 7th, in Seeley Lake. There were rumors that it could be canceled due to smoke and wildfires, but the bands are ready, and regular attendees are stoked, so it's a go.

A couple of years back, a friend of mine who spends a ton of time in Seeley asked why I never go to the festival, I answered because I don't know any of the bands. She said it doesn't matter, it's all about the atmosphere, the party, the people, and the camping. It really does look and sound like a good time when I see people posting about it on socials. Camping opens on Thursday, the 5th, and you can secure your spot and festival tickets here. Prices vary depending on how many days you're attending and if you're camping, etc. But last I checked a day of fun was $40.

As for the entertainment, Friday's headliner is the Steeldrivers, an Americana/bluegrass group. Saturday's headliner country rock band Reckless Kelly, out of Idaho. There's live music lined up all day both days, including a songwriters showcase on Saturday. If you're setting up camp on Thursday, you can catch Band of Drifters at the Filling Station in downtown Seeley. Check out the full music schedule here.

The exact address for the Seeley Festival Grounds is 2980 MT Hwy 83 N, Seeley Lake, MT 59868, if you need to put it into Maps, but I think you could probably just pull in to Seeley this weekend and find it.
