Montana Loses Spot, No Longer One of the Least-Stressed States
Montana just lost its Top 10 spot on this list and we are LOSING IT!
Sorry, we're not losing it that badly - but it has been a stressful couple of years. Especially in Montana, which has pretty much gotten more expensive no matter where you go in the state. That's gonna create a strain on anyone's brain - it's a wonder we're not all walking around like Jerry in that one episode of Seinfeld.
Compared to the rest of the country, Montana is usually pretty relaxed - heck, we made the top 10 on lists of the least-stressed states in 2019 and in 2020. But a lot can change in two years, and it seems Montana has lost its spot: we're no longer in the top 10.
That's according to the latest study from Wallet Hub, who had us ranked number 39 on its list of the most-stressful states (remember, the bottom numbers are where we want to be for this one). The study was conducted by analyzing each state's stress as it relates to money, work, family, health, and safety.
The study shows the least-stressed out state to be Utah, followed by Minnesota and South Dakota. What do we have to do to get back in the top 10? Use Frank Costanza's relaxation technique?
But hey, at least we're doing a lot better than most other states. And if you're trying to avoid stress, try not to move to the most stressful state in the US - that'd be Louisiana, followed by Nevada and New Mexico.
Do you feel like living in Montana has gotten a little more stressful over the past couple of years?
