The August 1st Montana COVID-19 report from the Department of Public Health and Human Services showed 117 new positive tests throughout the state. The most were in Yellowstone County with 26 and Flathead and Gallatin Counties, each with 16. Elsewhere, Missoula had 9 new cases, Lewis and Clark County at 8, with 7 cases each in Big Horn, Cascade and Ravalli Counties. Silver Bow reported 3 new positive tests. There were 2 each in Beaverhead, Dawson, Jefferson, Roosevelt and Wibaux Counties, while Blaine, Carbon, Glacier, Granite, Lincoln, Madison, Richland and Stillwater Counties each had 1 new positive test.

Montana has recorded 61 deaths from the coronavirus as of mid-morning Saturday. There are 1,564 active cases, with 71 people hospitalized. The next report will be issued mid-morning Sunday, August 2. Wash your hands, keep social distancing and wear the masks.
