Missoula’s Steampunk DJ Uses Phonographs
You've been to plenty of parties, raves and DJ sets, but I bet you've never seen a DJ who actually uses phonographs.
DJ Madhatter stopped by the Alt studio this morning to give us a quick demo of a couple of his phonographs and to tell us about his upcoming Steampunk Carnival. Obviously you'll be at the party if you're into steampunk, but if you have a passion for vinyl and old timey Thomas Edison kinda stuff, you're definitely going to wanna swing by to see Madhatter in action.
The Steampunk Carnival is set for Friday, May 24th at the Union Hall Ballroom, which is on the second floor of the Union Club Bar & Grill, admission is only $5 at the door and the party starts at 8 p.m.
Musical time traveler, DJ Madhatter Presents "Steampunk Carnival", part gothic steampunk, part Victorian circus. This event is a fundraiser for 105.5 KFGM Missoula Community Radio, in conjunction with the MisCon Convention held at the Holiday Inn Parkside, Memorial day weekend.
We are currently looking for artists and steampunk crafters for help, to make this a night to remember.
If you're interested in performing, organizers are still in search of side shows, magic and performers. Reach out to Doug at djmadhatterkfgm@yahoo.com for more info.
