Another bicycle auction is coming up to unload numerous bikes that have gone unclaimed in the Missoula area over the summer. These could be the result of somebody stealing a bike and ditching it, people moving and leaving bikes behind, or bikes that people lock up somewhere and never go back for. Whatever the case, nobody has claimed them so they go up for auction, with proceeds going to local community projects.

By the way, to avoid this happening to you, Missoulians can now register bikes here. That way, if your bike is stolen, the cops can help get it back to you. As for this auction, it's online bidding. Viewing is available Monday, November 16th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Tuesday, November 17th from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Gardner’s Auction Service, 4810 Hwy 93 South, near Fred's Appliance and The Peak gym out there, but across 93.

The online auction goes live on Tuesday, November 17th. To register for the online auction or to view the items online, simply visit the Gardner’s website. You can also call Gardner's with any questions, 251-2221.

Speaking of bikes, the good people at Soil Cycle are recycling your squishy Halloween pumpkins! Starting today, November 3rd, you can drop off pumpkins in the bins around the parking lot at the Southgate Mall and Soil Cycle will collect them and take them to local farms where animals enjoy the nutrients.
