Be sure to take a minute to plan out your festivities on Halloween night.  You'll want to make sure there's time to collect candy as well as check out the 5th Annual Hoot & Howl Halloween Bash with the Missoula Family YMCA.

There'll be arts and crafts, a costume contest and trick-or-treating for the kids.

The fun will include prizes for costumes and a cider station.

Admission is free but a $1 donation is suggested.  But, come on, that's some good family fun for just a dollar!

MISSOULA, Mont. – The Missoula Family YMCA will host an evening of spooky family fun at its 5th annual Hoot & Howl Halloween Bash.

“As a community-focused organization, the Y loves Halloween,” said Kat Franchino, event coordinator. “Halloween is a holiday that encourages us to spend time with our neighbors. The Y is so excited to host the 5th Annual Hoot & Howl and offer our friends, families and neighbors a way to celebrate this fun holiday together.”

The YMCA’s 5th Annual Hoot & Howl Halloween Bash will be held Thursday, Oct. 31, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Missoula Family YMCA, 3000 S. Russell St. Attendees can expect a variety of Halloween-themed activities and crafts, as well as indoor trick-or-treating, a cider station and a costume contest.

The Hoot & Howl is a Teal Pumpkin event and will offer non-food and nut-free treat options.

The Hoot & Howl costume contest will start at 6 p.m. and prizes will be awarded for the Best Family Costume and top three Best Youth Costumes. Prizes include Sweet Peaks ice cream and Flying Squirrel jump passes.
