You know, I feel like I haven't taken the time to appreciate the sunrise in a long time - during the week, I wake up way before the sun comes out, so it rises while I'm at work and not paying attention. And on the weekends, I sleep in and completely miss it. I'm guessing a lot of people are the same way, and if you are, maybe it's time to slow down a bit and check out this event.

The Missoula County Fairgrounds are holding a Sunrise Ceremony this Friday as a way to help bring the community together (while still maintaining social distancing). Here's the info from their Facebook event page:

All Nations knows that this pandemic has been difficult on everyone and we are here to support the emotional and spiritual wellness of our local community as we move into the fifth month of spatial distancing here in Montana. Please join us for a COVID-responsive sunrise ceremony on Friday, August 14th.
We are working with the Missoula Fairgrounds and Health Department to finalize details and ensure a safe and respectful event. We will post updates as they come available. For now, please plan to meet at the Missoula Fairgrounds at 6:30am and join our community as we welcome daylight.
ATTENTION: To allow for proper planning, please reserve a free ticket for every member of your household who will plan to attend.
Sounds nice, right? So if you're looking to see the sunrise and connect with others, this seems like the place to be. Will you be checking this out?
