According to the Missoula County Attorney’s Office, crime was relatively normal this past week. However, Chief Deputy County Attorney Jason Marks says something happened that doesn’t normally happen.

“We filed 15 new cases,” Marks said. “There were a few felony DUIs, some domestic violence cases, a couple burglaries, and a car theft. It was pretty routine. Honestly, the really notable thing was that we only filed one drug case this last week, which is much less than usual.”

Marks was asked if there was a reason why there was only one drug case this past week and he said it was just the luck of the draw. Marks was also asked if there any big trials or events that are coming up soon and he said things look pretty calm until September.
