Missoula County Attorney’s Office Juggles 21 New Felony Cases Including Three Violent Crimes

The Missoula County Attorney’s Office handled 21 felony cases over the course of the past week. County Attorney Kirsten Pabst says nearly a fourth of those cases came in late Thursday and that there were a number of violent crimes involved.

"We had three violent cases that involved family members," Pabst said. "One was a partner/family member assault third offense, one was an assault with a weapon that involved a situation with an order of protection in place where the man allegedly threatened a woman's dog and then picked up a hammer and threatened her."

Seven people were charged with felony drug crimes, not to mention a host of various other charges

"There was a new burglary case, a criminal mischief case, four endangerment cases: one involved DUI with child endangerment: a five-year-old in the back seat of a vehicle unrestrained with an intoxicated driver," Pabst said. "There was another that involved five counts of criminal endangerment and fleeing from police officers."

One man was accused of using meth to take advantage of a 17-year-old girl, while yet another was charged with evidence tampering for trying to delete material off Facebook from jail.
