Three weeks after announcing their upcoming double album and short film A Walk With Love and Death, the Melvins have revealed plans for a big three-month North American tour in support of the multimedia project.

As on the new album, the lineup for this tour will find Red Kross bassist joining Melvins stalwarts Buzz Osbourne and Dale Crover. Crover is currently serving as the drummer on Red Kross' own North American tour.

The double album is composed of two distinct halves. While Death is billed as a "proper" Melvins release, Love was conceived as the score for the movie. “A Walk With Love and Death is one giant, dark, moody, psychotic head trip! Not for the faint of heart,” drummer Dale Crover promises. “You’ll sleep with the lights on after listening.”

(I'm not sure what else I'm supposed to say here, except this is going to be awesome and that you should go to the six or seven shows closest to your home.)
