It's Montana Book Festival weekend and Jeff Ament of Pearl Jam is jumping on board to help Senator John Tester launch his new book. Pearl Jam have always been outspoken about their political views, in fact, Jeff Ament recently took to the official PJ Instagram account to endorse gubernatorial candidate Whitney Williams, and the 2018 PJ concert at WaGriz Stadium was a Rock2Vote event. So they're not exactly quiet when it comes to political activism.

The Montana Book Festival began on Thursday (9/10) and continues through 9/12, wrapping up with the launch of "Grounded: A Senator's Lessons On Winning Back Rural America." The launch with include a discussion between Senator Tester and Jeff Ament, with a moderator. You can buy a ticket to join the virtual event here, it will begin at 7 p.m. All ticket buyers will receive a copy of the book, with the first 150 copies autographed.

If you're not much into politics or Pearl Jam, you can still enjoy the Montana Book Festival today and tomorrow online. Meanwhile, Pearl Jam guitarist Stone Gossard has teamed up with singer-songwriter Mason Jennings to start a new band called Painted Shield.
