Missoula Man Punches Woman in the Face During Food Service
Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On September 6, 2026, Jane Doe was seated in the vicinity of Pine and Ryman Street in downtown Missoula during food service to those in need of indigent assistance.
Doe engaged witness “RE” in a conversation. As Doe socialized with “RE,” she heard 36-year-old Jacob Badhawk say that he intended to exploit “RE” as a prostitute and sexually traffic her for financial gain. Doe told Badhawk to stop talking about “RE” in this manner. According to Doe, Badhawk continued to repeat his intent to exploit “RE.”
Doe rose to her feet and told Badhawk to stop speaking about “RE in such a manner. Badhawk responded by punching Doe twice in the mouth. Doe was unsure if she lost consciousness. She stated that the blows inflicted upon her were the most painful thing she ever experienced.

A Missoula Police Department officer responded to the incident and viewed Doe’s injuries. The officer reported that her face immediately swelled about her nose and upper lip, and she was bleeding from her mouth. Then Doe was transported to St. Patrick’s Hospital for medical attention.
Another officer contacted Doe the next day. While speaking with Doe, the officer observed that both of her front teeth had been pushed backwards towards her throat at an approximate 45-degree angle. Doe stated that she was unable to chew food. Doe received contact information for a dental specialist from St. Patrick Hospital. She was informed that both teeth will need to be removed and likely be replaced via surgery.
Badhawk is currently being charged with felony aggravated assault. His bond was set at $25,000.
