I wanna know, can you tell me

Am I in love to stayyyyyyyyyyyyy?

Take me to the river... drop me in the water.

Take me to the river.... drop me in the water.

Great song. I picture myself walking alongside a river, snapping my fingers, high-stepping to the tune of Talking Heads' Take Me to the River.

Anyway...

Missoula is named one of the prettiest US river towns

Love Exploring created a list of "The prettiest US river towns for a slow weekend," and included our wonderful home of Missoula, Montana.

Where three rivers meet, Missoula is characterized by forested mountains and a distinctly laid-back spirit. The water takes center stage here, whether you're rafting, kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing or simply drifting downstream in an inner tube. - Lizzie Cox, Love Exploring

Love Exploring, you hit it right on the head, my friends. Missoula is one of the best river towns you'll find this side of the Mississippi River. Heck, it's one of the best river towns on either side of the Mississippi River. It's a beautiful river town, and it stacks up among the other prettiest river towns featured in the article.

Other US River Towns

I'm biased toward Missoula, but I'll put it at the top of the list. Granted, I haven't visited a lot of these towns featured, like Hood River, Oregon, Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, and Tallulah Falls, Georgia, but Missoula tops the list, in my opinion.

I have been to Stillwater, Minnesota (great town) and Dubuque, Iowa (fine town), but I will still take Missoula.
