Not only will there be a lot of artistry to appreciate and admire, the introductory welcome alone is pretty darn inviting.

"Welcome to the wood carving, wood turning, wood burning and scrollsaw wood show hosted by the Montana State Woodcarvers."  So reads the welcome posted by the Montana State Woodcarvers Association. If you love this kind of craftsmanship, this show in Missoula is a must-see.

The show will be open to the public this Saturday, May 4, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.,  and Sunday, May 5, from 11:30 a.m - 4:00 p.m., at the Missoula County Fairgrounds. Admission is $5 per adult. Kids under 12, when accompanied by an adult, are admitted free.

The carving, turning, burning and scrolling wood show features various divisions and
types. This show’s philosophy is focused more on critique and comment than it is on competition. The association's goal? Help carvers become better at what they do and to encourage more people to get involved. Skill level categories include Youth, Novice, Intermediate, Advanced and Expert.
