As much as Missoula loves a cool fireworks show, even long after Independence Day, safety comes first.

FINAL FIREWORKS SHOW RESCHEDULED

According to Friday's press release from the team, due to an abundance of caution and a recognition of the fire danger in Montana and the surrounding states, our Missoula PaddleHeads baseball team has rescheduled their final fireworks show of the 2026 season. The fireworks, originally scheduled to take place after the game on Saturday, August 8th, will now be rescheduled for the final stretch of home games in the season on Wednesday, September 2nd, assuming fire restrictions approve.

TICKET OPTIONS TOTALLY FAVORING THE FANS

All individual ticket buyers for this Saturday’s game will be given a free ticket for each purchased ticket to the September 2nd game, so they will be able to attend both games. Those who bought tickets for Saturday will be emailed their September 2nd tickets by August 20th.

The PaddleHeads team began to feel early in the week that a fireworks display might not be possible, considering the reports of fires throughout the state. The Missoula Fire Department confirmed that Missoula will be in Stage 2 fire restrictions beginning on August 7th.

The press release quoted PaddleHeads President Matt Ellis as saying, “The City of Missoula Fire Department has been tremendous in their communication and assistance on this matter. With stage 2 fire restrictions in place on Thursday, we are postponing our fireworks show this Saturday and rescheduling it for Wednesday, September 2nd."

A SEPTEMBER 2ND DOUBLE PLAY

September 2nd will also be University of Montana Night, which is the original promotion scheduled for that night. In addition, the PaddleHeads are excited to announce that anyone who purchases a ticket to the game on August 8th from this point forward will ALSO receive a ticket for the game on September 2nd at no
additional cost, as a thank you to our incredible fans and community.

Tickets for every game through the rest of the season can be purchased at the Paddleheads' website or by visiting the box office.
