Whenever you have something cool you always want to brag about it and show it off a little. But it gets a bit tricky when that thing you want to show off is a tourist attraction in Montana. Our social media pages always see a few comments from people that tell us to quit spreading the word to out-of-staters in the fear that they'll immediately flock here to check out whatever it is we're promoting. But when an item from Montana makes a list of the best things in the USA we have to put the spotlight on it.

My family and I took a road trip for Memorial Day weekend. For as many times as we've done the Missoula to western Washington trek, the beauty of the drive always amazes me. I love the endless view of trees in the Montana mountains, the sights of Coeur d'Alene Lake as you pass through Idaho, and the view of the bridge over the Columbia River when you take the turn and see the scenery open up in Vantage, Washington.

There's so much beauty in Montana

If you're down for a little exploring of your own this summer, you can check out this list from Travel Lemming of The 150 Best Things to Do in the USA This Summer. It's a look at unique and unusual attractions that are sure to impress travelers making their way around the country. And they named one Montana item to their list.

Wait! Only one from Montana?

It sure feels like we could have had a few more things from Montana get a mention, from adventures at Yellowstone National Park to a stay at the ranch where they film the tv show Yellowstone, and all points in between.

The item from Montana that made the list was "Snap Postcard-Worthy Photos at Glacier National Park."

“Scenic” doesn’t even begin to describe the sights along the epic Going-to-the-Sun Road. The iconic drive through Glacier National Park evokes the truest sense of awe. Waterfalls cascade, wildlife abounds, and despite its popularity, plenty of remote wilderness is available to explore.

What would you have on your best of Montana list?

I can't argue with the beauty of Glacier National Park being on the list. But that's all they came up with for Montana? C'mon! There are 18 items on the list from Florida!

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
