Whitefish is the only town in Montana to make the list. A couple of towns in our neighboring states made the list like Jackson Hole, Wyoming; Lisbon, North Dakota; Spearfish, South Dakota; and Sandpoint, Idaho.

Whitefish has a lot going for it with it having Whitefish Lake and proximity to Flathead Lake and Glacier National Park. It also boasts an impressive ski resort at Whitefish Mountain. One of the highlights of Whitefish that is listed by Cheapism.com is the historic "restored and still operational rail station and museum listed on the National Register of Historic Places."

There are a few things to keep in mind this upcoming tourist season. Be patient with out of state drivers. If you see cars with out of state license plates, that doesn't necessarily mean they have moved here. They could be just visiting or the car could be a rental car, there is no reason to be rude.
