5 Reasons Montanans Can Use to Convince People to Move to Utah
Montana, we may have found a way to encourage people to move somewhere else.
Since it was just announced that the TV show "Yellowstone" is looking for extras, it won't be long until the "Yellowstone" effect takes hold again and people living in urban parts of the country will be inspired to move here, thinking it's just like the show.
But U.S. News just published its list of the "Best States of 2024" and Montana ranked 24th. Right in the middle. Average. Mediocre. Yet Utah, a state that's not too far away, was named the best state in the country for 2024.
What perfect timing. Now, if you don't want hordes of people moving to Montana, you can start promoting reasons to move to Utah instead. Along with the fact that the state was named "the best" (so is there any argument?) here are a few reasons that might sweeten the deal.
Utah has Raising Canes
If Post Malone is a fan, that should be enough of an endorsement for anyone else. And did you know that it was a Midvale, Utah, hamburger restaurant that's responsible for giving the world fry sauce?
Utah is Getting a Professional Hockey Team
Yes, the owners of the Utah Jazz will now have an NHL team, and would-be Utah residents who want to get in on the fun now can vote for the team's name.
Utah has World Class Skiing
And it looks like they had pretty good snow this year.
Utah has Beautiful National Parks and Monuments
The state hosts 12 National Parks and Monuments including Arches National Park and Zion National Park which regularly make lists of the best/most visited/most awesome National Parks.
Utah's Roads are Pretty Great
Remember all the improvements made to Salt Lake City for the 2002 Winter Olympics? That may have helped Utah earn the #2 ranking for infrastructure in the U.S. News ranking.
Need more reasons to encourage people to go to Utah instead of Montana? How about the music? Here are the concerts coming to Utah in 2024.
