The Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics will kick off February 6 in Italy. With the games only two weeks away, the Olympic rosters are getting finalized and we are seeing who will represent the U.S. and Montana at the games.

Montana Athletes Already Named to Team USA

We already know that Jake Sanderson will be representing Montana on the USA hockey team. The first game for Team USA will be Thursday, February 5, against the Czech Republic team.

Montana skier Konnor Ralph, from Helena, is one of 97 U.S. skiers nominated for the U.S. Olympic Ski Team. According to the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Team, the final team announcements will be held on January 26. Ralph will be competing in the Men’s Slopestyle and Big Air competitions.

NBC is the broadcast partner for the Winter Olympic Games and their schedule has the Big Air competition scheduled for Sunday February 15, and Tuesday February 17.

Helena Skier Konnor Ralph’s Path to the Olympics

According to the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Team website, Ralph started skiing at age 2, after his parents got him on skis at Montana’s Great Divide Ski Area. He has been a member of the U.S. Ski Team since 2022 and earned his first podium in Tignes in 2024 and big air in Aspen in 2025.  

Why Montana’s Olympic Representation Matters

The two weeks in February during the Olympics should be exciting for Team USA and for representing both the country and Montana.
