When I stumbled on this neat trick today, I audibly gasped and said, "Oh my god!"

I was using Google Maps to look at the Adams Center on the University of Montana Campus, and I wanted to see the street view, so I used the "person icon" and set it down at the back of the building.

But I didn't end up on the back side of the building, I ended up...somewhere else.

No way! This couldn't possibly be what I think it is, right? So I tracked with my mouse virtually down the hallway a little further.

I came around the corner and saw the player and again thought, no, it can't be. And then it was.

Like, right into the middle of the field.

I had no idea you could take a virtual tour of the stadium.

So then I started to wonder, what else could I "visit" virtually just by using the street view on Google Maps? It didn't take me long to discover that a famous landmark near the stadium was also visible.

That's right, you can see the "M" trail using Google Street View. But more than that, you can virtually climb the M all the way to the top of the trail.

You can virtually "sit" on the M using Google Street View.

This is an incredible way to make parts of Missoula accessible to diverse populations. Anyone with a computer and an internet connection can enjoy these unique and special views. As someone who on occasion needs the assistance of a mobility aid, I'm grateful that on the days when I'm having trouble walking, I can still vicariously take a trip up Mount Sentinel.
