Missoula may be saying goodbye to another business. There have been changes with a few local businesses lately. Some of them have been announced and some of them have just happened.
The Conflux Brewing Taproom at 210 North Pattee Street is apparently closing its doors. It was reported back in March that the business was listed at $5.75 million by Montana Right Now.
I had seen posts on social media that they were closing down soon, but nothing on their official social media sites or website. I called and spoke with an employee yesterday who confirmed that they were closing and yesterday was their last day in operation.
The Conflux Brewing Taproom was built in 2018 in the heart of downtown with one of the best open decks around. I was always a fan of their tater tots, and some of their brews. I wasn't the only one.
It's not always easy to say goodbye to businesses in Missoula, especially ones that we appreciate.

This past St. Patrick's Day members of the Celtic Dragon Pipe Band went to Conflux to have some dinner in between gigs. The wait staff told us that the business was for sale and they would probably be closing their doors soon. When we were wrapping up dinner, they asked if one of our pipers could play a tune, and we obliged. The bagpipes were incredibly loud in that space.

Change will be coming to that building eventually whether it's new ownership, or an entirely new business. One thing we can count on and that is Downtown Missoula will continue to see change.
