It hasn’t been officially a full week of the new year yet, and Missoula is already seeing some changes. We recently learned that Elote Mexican Restaurant and Grille, located in Southgate Mall, is closing.

Another Missoula eatery appears to be making changes. Catalyst2Go, located in downtown Missoula, has announced that it’s for sale.

According to a Facebook post, the current owners are looking to sell the business

How Catalyst2Go’s Model Changed

The Catalyst was a favorite coffee and breakfast spot located in the old Florence Hotel on Higgins Avenue for years. They changed their name to Catalyst2Go and moved to 123 E. Main Street. They also changed their business model from a sit-down restaurant to a grab-and-go food concept. The new location doesn’t have the seating that the old location had.

From The Florence Hotel to Downtown Main Street

Catalyst2Go features ready and hot breakfast and lunch burritos, made-to-order breakfast sandwiches, and a nacho bar that is charged for by the pound. They feature a full espresso bar, salad bar, soups, and house-made baked goods like biscuits, scones, sharp cheddar potato rolls, and daily specials.

When the SNAP benefits were put on hold last October, Catalyst2Go stepped up to help the community by offering boxes of staple food items for those in need. The employees and owners of Catalyst2Go have been an important part of Missoula for decades.

What This Means for Downtown Missoula Dining

Many people who work and visit the downtown area want a quick and delicious bite to eat on the go, and Catalyst2Go has been a popular option. Hopefully, the shop will sell to new owners who will keep that tradition going.
