Voice of the Griz Riley Corcoran Named Montana Sportscaster of the Year
Congratulations to my friend, the Voice of the Griz, Riley Corcoran, on being named the 2025 National Sports Media Association (NSMA) Montana Sportscaster of the Year.
In his 10th season as the Voice of the Griz, Corcoran won his fourth Sportscaster of the Year Award and his first since 2020. He won three in a row from 2018-2020, so I told him his 2025 award is the start of his elite, second run, a la Tom Brady and what he did in the latter half of his career.

The NSMA honors each state's top sportscaster and sportswriter every year. The sports media group has also been handing out national awards since 1959 and has been inducting sports personalities into the NSMA Hall of Fame since 1962.
This year, the NSMA is inducting James Brown, Greg Gumbel, Adrian Wojnarowski, and Sid Hartman into the Hall of Fame. ESPN play-by-play announcer Sean McDonough was named the National Sportscaster of the Year, while Yahoo Sports' Ross Dellenger was named National Sportswriter of the Year.
"It's always a great honor when you get that call. It's nice to be chosen among your peers for all the hard work we put in behind the scenes, so thank you and thanks to everybody out there," said Corcoran on The Daily Drive with Ace Sauerwein.

No better broadcaster in the state than Riley Corcoran. He has helped me immensely in my own career and skillset as a broadcaster. Congratulations to a great broadcaster, a great guy, and a great friend. You deserve it!
