Each year, the University of Montana asks its fans to help give to the Grizzlies Scholarship Association to bolster the Grizzlies' presence in college athletics.

In each of the first 4 Big Gives, the University has found success.

"This will be the 5th year that the University puts this on," said Grizzly Sclarship Association Assistant Director Coleson Randall. "This is not just an athletics thing. This covers all of campus."

The Grizzly Scholarship Association provides several ways for fans to give back. Fans are able to donate to the GSA as a whole or one of the individual teams.

Randall says every Griz fan can pitch in no matter how much you're willing to give.

"It doesn't matter if it's a $10 gift, a $100 gift, a $1,000 gift. It really does add up," explained Randall. "Over the first 4 years, we've done this, we've led campus in total dollars raised and total gifts brought in. We've done just over $540,000."

When Randall says GSA has "led campus" he's referring to the not-so-serious "competition" with the rest of campus. The President's Excellence Fund, Academic Programs, Campus and Community, Student Success and UM Alumni Assocation all raise money as apart of the Big Give.

"We want people to support athletics, get behind your favorite team," said Randall.

Again, you can support any area you desire, so the money goes to the team YOU want.

"If you want to support the golf team, it will go directly to the golf program."

Join in the Big Give at gogriz.com/biggive. It runs all day on Wednesday, March 5th.

Listen to Randall's full interview on The Daily Drive with Ace Sauerwein tonight at 5 pm on KGRZ, kgrzmissoula.com and the KGRZ mobile app.
