Leading up to Boise and the Big Sky Conference Tournaments, the Montana Grizzlies and Montana Lady Griz Basketball teams cleaned up the conference awards. Seven different players received an award or was placed on an All-Big Sky Team.

Here were the Griz greats to receive an honor for the season.

Aanen Moody - 1st Team

Aanen Moody leads the team in scoring with 16.6 points per game and closed the regular season with three straight 20+ point performances. If Moody can score 51 points he would become just the third Griz all time to score 1000 points in 2 seasons at Montana.

Dischon Thomas - 2nd Team

Thomas will close out his two year career, not with 1,000 points, but with his career highs and a 2nd team selection.

Brandon Whitney - Honorable Mention

Whitney already eclipsed 1,000 career points and has played in 117 games in a Griz uniform.

Carmen Gfeller - 1st Team

Gfeller is all over the Lady Griz record books. The most games played, 4th most points all-time and now a 2-time 1st time All-Big Sky selection.

Dani Bartsch - 2nd Team & All-Defensive Team

Bartsch leads the conference in rebounding and set career highs in points, field goals, three-pointers, three-point percentage and just about everything in between.

Maggie Espenmiller-McGraw - 2nd Team & Big Sky Newcomer of the Year

Espenmiller-McGraw was in the top 20 in three-point makes per game just last week. One of the best sharpshooters in the Big Sky, if not the best.

Gina Marxen - Big Sky Top Reserve

Funny to think of Gina Marxen as a reserve because she's started over 120 games in her career and has now started the last 6. Marxen has one of the best assist:turnover ration in the entire country. Not to mention over 1,500 career points.
