Montana lost just its second game of the season in Flagstaff on Saturday, dropping their game at Northern Arizona 49-44. It was a wild shootout in which both teams answered each other's punches.

Some fans believe it's a sign of things to come. Some fans think the defense is in trouble. Some fans think it's just a blip on the radar, and we'll be fine.

For the most part, fans were much more positive in our comments then what I thought.

Here were some of the top responses from fans.

"One way to look at it is we out scored them. Oh, that's right...We shot ourselves in the foot... Not once, but two touchdowns called back! It was a good effort by both teams. That's why the game is played with a pointy ball! Go Griz!" - Jim N.

It's hard to argue with, Jim. There were some mistakes, and technically Montana did score more. Good stuff, Jim.

"Bobcats lost last week. The Griz lost this week. Am I the only one who thinks one loss relieves a lot of pressure?" - Doug B.

That's fair. Losses like these can be a wake-up call. Heck, we saw that after Oregon State.

"If I remember correctly, the year we made it to the national championship our only loss in conference was NAU in Flagstaff, correct?" - Stacey E.

YOU DANG RIGHT, STACEY.

"That was a good Northern Arizona team we just played. I think the difference was the 100 yard run back." - Larry S.
"NAU played nearly flawless on offense and special teams, one by a score at home. Tip your hat and try to get better next week. The defense has injuries, picked apart by a really good QB." -Lucas H.
