National Rodeo Hall of Fame Welcomes Montana’s Funniest Clown
As small-town as they come, Flint Rasmussen hails from Choteau, Montana. Rasmussen just made history this past Fall when he was inducted into the National Rodeo Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City. And, let’s just say, no one deserves it more.
Flint didn’t always set out to be a rodeo clown. After college, he became a high school math and history teacher. But teaching didn’t stick, his personality was just too big for the classroom. But everything changed once he entered the rodeo arena. Flint didn’t just become a rodeo clown, he became the best in the business. Dare I say, the "Michael Jordan of Rodeo Clowns."
Flint has been racking up more awards than most people could do in a lifetime. For decades now: eight-time PRCA Clown of the Year, eight-time Wrangler National Finals Rodeo barrelman, and seven-time Coors Man in the Can Award recipient. Not to mention he spent 25 years as the star entertainer for the Professional Bull Riders (PBR). If you’ve ever seen him at work you know he didn’t just tell jokes, he danced, he ducked bulls, he made you feel like you were in good hands no matter who you were in a giant crowd. He made people laugh, helped them forget their troubles, and brought new life to the job of rodeo clown.
Now, with his induction into the Hall of Fame, Flint’s legacy is in stone. He’s living proof that even a kid from a small town in Montana can achieve great things. Congrats, Flint, you’ve done Montana proud, and you’ve kept us all laughing as you did it!
