Missoula Anticipates Arrival of New Ramen Hotspot
I have always been a self-proclaimed "FOODIE." I love trying new things and creating gourmet food out of otherwise boring ingredients. For me, eating ramen is always an adventure. Taking something so simple and creating a masterpiece.
Making a bowl of ramen is more than just for college dorm rooms. Ramen can be classy and refined. A simple bowl of noodle soup can be transformed into a piece of art. Some of my masterpieces include everything from fried pork belly to peppers, and you can't forget the soft-boiled egg. *Chef's kiss
Over the years, restaurants that specialize in ramen have been popping up all over the country. A popular form of fast food in Japan, American Ramen shops are slightly more upscale.
One popular restaurant that specializes in ramen has locations sprinkled across Montana. Hokkaido Ramen has locations in Billings, Bozeman, Helena, Great Falls and Kalispell.
Missoula will soon be home to a Hokkaido location. People traveling on North Reserve have been noticing activity in the old Firehouse Subs location. A sign was erected recently with the name of the new business.
No word on when the location will be open for business. According to the Hakkaido website:
We are very pleased to offer Montanans and Idahoans a fresh new style of restaurant and it’s really just a laid-back place to relax, wind-down, and enjoy some great food and service in a positive environment without breaking the bank. It’s Ramen Time!
Judging by the progress there should be a grand opening coming soon. So get ready to *SLURP*.
