Well, everyone, here we go again. Montana is clearly one of the hottest destinations and another celebrity has their eyes on it, in this case, Glenn Close. Yes, that Glenn Close. The one who cooked a bunny in Fatal Attraction is settling down in Bozeman. Just what we needed.

She has owned property here since the ‘80s, but now she’s making it her full-time home. Isn’t that nice? A Hollywood star remembers she has land somewhere behind a locked gate in the mountains. Before you know it, she’ll be dispensing advice on surviving Montana winters as if she didn’t just arrive.

And she’s not alone. Taylor Kitsch (Friday Night Lights) also relocated to Bozeman in search of “more peace” and proximity to nature. Good for him. But it’s not just for Kitsch and Close. Justin Timberlake, Jessica Biel, and John Mayer are among the celeb passengers on the Montana train. At this rate, we might as well erect a sign at the border Welcome to Montana: Now Starring Half of Hollywood!

We get it. Montana is beautiful. It’s quiet. It’s NOT California. But every new celebrity arrival has upped the ante, resulting in great expense, more crowds and, let’s be honest, it is slightly annoying. At first, it’s all about experiencing nature, and the next thing you know, there’s a gaggle of paparazzi parked outside our local grocery store waiting to snap a pic of some celebrity buying organic kale.

So, Glenn, welcome. Just don’t tell your friends. We’re good. We would prefer to remain a bit more Montana, a bit less Hollywood.”
