Hey Montana, Would You Like the ‘Easiest Job in The World’?
Since it appears that Montanans are already quite interested in the island of Aruba, perhaps you'd like to apply for a "job" in the tropical paradise. Though, you'd probably want to hold on to your current job because this fantastic gig only lasts a week. Let's check out the details of the interesting opportunity presented by the Aruba Tourism Authority.
Where you'll "work."
Aruba is a 70-square-mile island off the coast of Venezuela in the southern Caribbean Sea. It's part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Aruba has two official languages (Dutch and Papiamentu), however English and Spanish are fairly common too.
Here's what the job entails.
This is the best part... they're looking for someone to be a weather person for a week. They say it's the easiest job in the world because the weather in Aruba is basically the same, every single day. Sunny and a high around 80. The island is surprisingly dry, averaging just 17 inches of rain per year (Billings averages 13.66 per year) and it sits outside of the hurricane zone. The tourism board wrote,
Aruba is looking for a sunny personality to do their best weatherperson impression for a chance to win a 7-day, 6-night trip to sunny Aruba. You’ll be featured on Aruba’s social channels while you soak up the sun, sip on a drink, and remind everyone that the weather never changes in Aruba. Sounds easy, right?
Let's talk perks.
The temporary gig includes roundtrip airfare for two from the nearest airport, ground transportation from the airport to the hotel, and sponsor-specified hotel accommodations. The retail value of the prize is $5,000. You must be at least 18 years old to enter. See full rules and contest entry details HERE.
