The Harvest Moon is the September Full Moon and it's tonight, September 13, at about 10:30 p.m. Mountain Time. The "almost-full" moon came up Thursday night during the Hamilton-Stevensville football game, giving the fans a beautiful view. However, for those who like superstitious stuff, a Friday the 13th Full Moon doesn't happen all that often. The next time will be August, 2049, according to the Old Farmers Almanac. And folks in the Eastern time Zone won't have a Full Moon on the 13th. Their full moon is not until after midnight - Saturday morning of the 14th. Lucky or unlucky, the full moon is always a great thing to see rising over the Sapphire Mountains on the eastern edge of the Bitterroot Valley. And, when it sets over the Bitterroot Mountains, you can catch some great views, too. (see photo below) Shine on, Harvest Moon!
