Halloween Beer Garden at the Southgate Mall

How many times have you been doing the crowded trick or treating lap around the mall with your kids and have thought, or even said out loud, "this would be a lot easier if I had a beer." The Southgate Mall has made it so, and it's for a great local cause.

Boo and Brew is at the Southgate Mall this Wednesday (Halloween) with the beer garden open from 7 to 10 p.m. in the former Herberger's location. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Hospice Care Foundation, and here are some other fun things happening at the beer garden.

• Magic Show
• Live DJ
• Food Trucks
• Giant Yard Games
• Hay Rides - with proceeds benefiting Missoula Food Bank
• Live Art Creation

The traditional Halloween activities at the mall will begin at 4:30 with the annual costume contest at Clock Court. There's a $2 entry fee per person or $5 per family, with proceeds, once again, going to the Hospice Care Foundation. Free trick or treating starts at 6 and also added this year, $1 carnival games from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Now, if they could just get a beer garden at those damn PTA meetings...
