Many many moons ago I told you that a full length documentary film was in the works about my favorite place in the world, the Gorge Amphitheater on the Columbia River. It's finally finished and being released to theaters, including a showing here in Missoula!

There's no place like it in the world. There's just something so enormous and endless about the place. - Dave Matthews

The film documents the history of the venue, starting from a family owned vineyard with a janky plywood stage that became an internationally renowned concert venue that has been enjoyed by more than 7 million fans, and why some of the biggest names in music travel to the gorgeous venue in the middle of nowhere Washington. In addition to the full-length film, this one-night-only screening will feature exclusive, never-before-seen interviews with Hozier, Phantogram, and Portugal.The Man. The night will also include a world premiere of The Enormisodes – five mini-documentaries about The Gorge – along with a blooper reel featuring Dave Matthews, Jason Mraz, and Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready, and more.

"Enormous: The Gorge Story" will show one night only in Missoula at the AMC Dine-In at the Southgate Mall on Wednesday, July 21st, times will be announced soon. We've got freebies, simply hit us up on the app if you want a pair and we'll respond if you are a winner.

What shows have you seen at the Gorge? Sasquatch festival was our Memorial Day weekend family road trip for many years, I'm so grateful that our son was able to experience such an amazing festival in what I consider to be the most beautiful place in the world. Back in the day we saw Prince there, I think 1997, and I wish I'd realized at the time just how special the moment was. Learn more about the film and keep an eye out for tickets to go on sale here.
