What an amazing holiday gift that is giving us all the feels! Thanks to PetSmart, the Flathead Food Bank has more than 17,000 pounds of pet food to distribute to Flathead Reservation families in need. Now that's a Giving Tuesday level we've never seen before.

According to Char-Koosta News, the Arlee Rehabilitation Center received a donation of 17,152 pounds of dog and cat food. They are inviting families in need to pick up their share of 10,000 pounds of dog food and 7,000 pounds of cat food today, Thursday, December 2nd, at the former Kicking Horse Job Corps location at 33091 Mollmann Pass Trail in Ronan. Pick up will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. only.

The Arlee Rehabilitation Center adds:

ARC's mission is to serve the Flathead Indian Reservation by providing a sanctuary where animals heal people and people heal animals. We encourage those who come to chip in a voluntary donation to help support our work. We offer animal-assisted healing camps for Reservation youth, spay-neuter clinics for Reservation pets, and much more.

A man who seems to be named very appropriately helped with storage, huge shout-out to John Nice and his staff at CSKT Facilities. Seems pretty straightforward to me, but if you need to reach out, you are invited to email info@k9arc.org or call (406) 207-9338.

Thank you again to Char-Koosta News for this very helpful information!
