Draught Works is Holding Their St. Paddy’s Day Shenanigans
St. Patrick's Day last year was really the day when everything changed for Missoula. Restrictions on bars and restaurants went into effect - and even though they were planned as a temporary thing, it ended up being the start of a twelve month pandemic that nobody saw coming. Here we are a year later and we're still trying to get back to events with crowds. It has been nice to see a couple things announced recently - including the Brews n' Bonfires event at Caras Park later this month.
As a whole, St. Patrick's Day will be quite a bit more low-key this year. But there are still a few events happening around town. I just saw today that Draught Works will hold their Annual St. Paddy's Day Shenanigans on Wednesday. And they have a fun play on words as they promote the event, "Let's try this St. Paddy's Day SHENAN-AGAIN!" Kudos to the Draught Works team for their cleverness.
Details of the event are laid out on the Facebook event page and highlights include:
- St. Paddy's Day Shenanigans T-shirts to the first 144 pints sold.
- Limited seating this year with plans to open the parking lot patio, weather permitting.
- The return of Gwin Du Oatmeal Stout to the taproom.
- FREE sunglasses with every $20 beer to-go order!
- Big Thai Country food truck on hand to serve food from 4-8 PM.
Don't look now but its starting to feel like we might be close to getting on the other side of this thing! There was always so much happening in Missoula before the pandemic - it's just a good feeling to have events starting to happen around town again.
If you can't make it to Draught Works for their St. Paddy's Day Shenanigans - at least enjoy a beverage in some way to celebrate the fact that we made it through a year of COVID and we're going to make it to the finish line together!
