A Favorite Missoula Theater Named Downtown Business of the Year

Every year, the Missoula Downtown Association takes time out to recognize the people and businesses that make downtown Missoula so special. It's not every town that's got a Hip Strip, a river, a movie theater, a concert venue, a public park, and dozens of bars, restaurants and shops all within the radius of a couple blocks. That's definitely something worth celebrating!

Though they decided to forego their in-person banquet this year, Missoula Downtown Association kept the recognition going in 2022 and nominated three businesses for the coveted Downtown Business of the Year award. Those three were Clyde Coffee, The Oxford Cafe, and the Roxy Theater.

And Downtown Missoula's Business of the Year is...

The Roxy Theater!

Yes, Missoula's Community Cinema has been named the Downtown Business of the Year. Downtown Missoula Partnership made the announcement in a YouTube video.

The video highlighted the Roxy's creative efforts to connect to the community while the theater was closed during the pandemic - including the creation of The Roxy Garden and their teamup with the Missoula Paddleheads for Centerfield Cinema at Ogren Park. The video describes the theater as the "Hip Strip epicenter for film, festivals, education, and community."

It's great to see The Roxy get this kind of love, especially while we're seeing them get back into the full swing of things with the return of annual events like their Record Sale.
