A retardant plane (see photo) was called in Wednesday to help contain the 10-acre Dominic Butte forest fire east of Corvallis in the Sapphire Mountains.

According to Bitterroot National Forest officials, the lightning caused fire was reported Wednesday afternoon and 25 firefighters with two engines responded to the site, west of Willow Mountain.

Also called to the fire were a heavy tanker, two single engine air tankers and two helicopters.

The 2010 Dominic Point Fire left scars that could slow down the current blaze. No structures are threatened.
