It's almost time for the annual Forestry Day at the Historical Museum at Fort Missoula. It always takes place on the last Saturday in April (this year it's April 29th), from 9am to 4pm. This will be fun for the entire family. The logging competitions and tours of historic buildings that will begin at 10am.

The Forestry Day is produced by The Historical Museum at Fort Missoula, Montana Woodsman Team, the Society of American Foresters, and the Forestry Interpretive Area.

There will be everything from professional lumberjack competitions including crosscut sawing, pole climbing, wood chopping, ax throwing, and my personal favorite the log rolling.

There will also be food and beverages available for purchase from the Woodsman Team.

As always it is completely free to attend but donations are happily accepted to keep this event going for many years to come.
