Over the last three years, the "Acoustic-4-a-Cure" benefit has become one of the most anticipated concerts on the Bay Area concert calendar, with Metallica's James Hetfield and Sammy Hagar often leading the bill. However, with Hetfield otherwise committed to Metallica's "WorldWired" tour, another heavy hitter has stepped in to lend a hand. Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl will join Hagar atop the bill, with the Grateful Dead's Bob Weir and Fleetwood Mac's Mick Fleetwood among the other rock legends performing at the annual benefit.

The Acoustic-4-a-Cure benefit has become an annual fundraiser for the UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital, with the monies collected going toward awareness for the Pediatric Cancer Program at the hospital.

In addition to the aforementioned Grohl, Hagar, Weir and Fleetwood, other performers for this year's concert include Sarah McLachlan, Steve Vai, Don Felder, Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo.

The show will take place May 15 at the Fillmore in San Francisco. Tickets for the show will go on sale this Friday (March 31) at 10AM PT via Live Nation. For more details on the show, head to the Acoustic-4-a-Cure website.
