Dance, Drum & Drink to Celebrate Peace in Missoula
Have you ever met Fernanda Krum and Robert Rivers? They own Missoula's Imagine Nation Brewery and they are legitimately the most genuine, kindest people you could ever meet.
Four years ago, Fernanda and Robert launched what they wanted to be a public space for conversations, activism and non profit workshops in Missoula. A place where every day people could meet for beers and talk with common minded community members. What emerged is the country's very first intentional combination of micro brewery and center for community transformation.
We will be celebrating Imagine Nation's 4th anniversary this Saturday, May 18th. We will also be offering congratulations to Fernanda and Robert, this year's recipients of the annual Jeanette Rankin Peace Center Peace Award! Although they are modest people, the award is well deserved. Here's the schedule of events:
10:30 a.m.- noon, Living Rhythm Community Drum Circle
with Matthew Nord & Dave Robertson
Noon - 2 p.m., Imagine Ireland Irish Circle
1:30 - 2:30 p.m., Strategic Peacebuilding Workshop w/ Denis Matveev senior advisor from CMI
3 - 3:45 p.m., Congolese Choir and Youth Award
3:45 - 5 p.m., Montana Women’s Chorus Missoula and Peace Award to the Peacemaker of the Year
5:30 - 8 p.m., Live Music w/ Good Old Fashioned
INB will also release 2 new beers to mark the occasion! "One day, many voices, one message, PEACE."
