Creamery Picnic Takes Over Stevensville Fri & Sat

The Stevensville Creamery Picnic is in its 107th year. What started out as a "thank you" to the community for rebuilding a burned-out creamery has endured through the decades as a happy celebration that fills the town of Stevensville with families and fun. The Stevensville Civic Club has gathered a huge group of volunteers to continue the tradition. Two parades highlight the weekend - Friday at 6:30 p.m. the kids get their own parade from 4th and Main to Lewis and Clark Park. Saturday, the Grand Parade is on Main Street, starting at 11 a.m. The Masonic Lodge has their Saturday morning pancake breakfast from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. at 3rd and Church Streets.

Music is big part of the weekend, with groups at both Lewis and Clark Park and downtown. On the Lewis and Clark Park stage Friday, "Wolf and the Moons" will play from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and "Sho-Down" will play for the Family Fun Dance, starting at 7 p.m. Entertainment Saturday at the Lewis and Clark Park includes the "Bitterroot Community Band" at 1 p.m., "Pinegrass" on stage at 3 p.m., and "Good Old-Fashioned" for the Saturday Family Fun Dance at 7 p.m. Free ice cream (until gone) for the kids at 1 p.m. Downtown that day, the stage has entertainment all afternoon and at 7:30 p.m. "Annalisa Rose" will have the music. The Creamery Picnic Brew Fest at Lewis and Clark Park will be Friday 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday from 12 noon to 9 p.m. The exciting All Valley Fire Department Challenge begins at 2 p.m. on Main Street.
