Billie Joe Armstrong's new band, The Longshot, had just started touring, but it looks like their run will be shorter than expected. The band has announced that they are postponing all of their remaining scheduled dates immediately, citing a family emergency.

"One of our band members @longshot is dealing with a very serious family emergency. It’s with heavy hearts we need to announce tonight’s show in Santa Ana and the rest of the West Coast shows will be postponed. We love you all and we will be back. Please send good vibes to each other," stated Billie Joe Armstrong in an Instagram posting.

The group was expected to play tonight (May 9) at the Rickshaw Shop in San Francisco, with additional West Coast dates booked for Seattle and Vancouver, before making the trip to the East Coat later in the month and early June with stops in Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Toronto, Brooklyn and Philadelphia.

The Longshot issued an EP in early April, which was soon followed by a surprise full-length album titled Love Is for Losers. You can stream the disc via Spotify or purchase the album via Amazon and iTunes.
