Another Person of Interest Sought in Missoula Motel Murders
The Missoula Police Department has issued a press release stating that an additional person of interest is being sought in connection with the double homicide that occurred in the Mountain Valley Inn last Friday.
Police are now attempting to locate 18 year-old LaBenza Dawn Charlo.
Officers were called to the motel at 1:02 a.m. on Friday and quickly learned that two people had been shot to death and a third seriously wounded by gunfire. Ms. Charlo has been determined to be a person of interest in the case.
Charlo is a Native American female, about 5’8” tall weighing about 140 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes and her last known residence was in Polson, but may be currently residing in Missoula. Charlo currently has another arrest warrant for an offense preceding the motel homicides.
Anyone with knowledge of her whereabouts is encouraged to call 9-1-1. Anyone with any other information is asked to call Detective Mark Blood at 552-6281, or Detective Devin Erickson at 552-6291.
Due to the serious nature of the case, Ms. Charlo should be considered to be armed and dangerous.
Two men, Preston Rossbach and Jonathan Whitmore are already in custody on $250,000 bond charged with two counts of deliberate homicide or accountability for deliberate homicide.
Killed in the shootings were 23 year-old Jason Flink and 31 year-old Megan McLaughlin.
