I love cats. We have three of them at home. When I go to the pet store I always have to look at all the ones that are up for adoption - even though I know I can't get one. In the age-old question of cats vs dogs, I have to go cats all the way. You don't have to bathe them, they eat a fraction of what dogs do, you don't have to take them out in the middle of the night, you can leave them home alone for a few days, they don't sit and stare at you for scraps every time you have food, they go to the bathroom in the same spot every day, etc. So yep, it's cats for this guy.

My fondness of the felines made me smile when I saw this today. AniMeals, here in Missoula, posted on their social media page that they were in serious need of cat food. This Montana Right Now article tells the story of how about half of the cat food they normally rely on would come from Walmart donations. The store used to provide AniMeals with the bags of food that would become damaged. But a new store policy doesn't allow for the broken bags of cat food to be donated any longer. That's a pretty big hit for AniMeals to face - wiping out 50% of their cat food supply.

After posting their needs on Facebook, AniMeals saw the community stepped up and deliver.  Donations started coming in and by yesterday afternoon they had received over 8,000 lbs of cat food.

"Thank you, thank you so much for your response and on behalf of AniMeals and the recipients of all this food, we are very grateful, we are very grateful."
