Another show that the Alternative Music fans of music have been incredibly stoked for has been canceled. Rainbow Kitten Surprise will not make an appearance at the KettleHouse Amphitheater on Saturday, July 16th.

I know so many people that were extremely excited for this show. After the first time Rainbow Kitten Surprise played the Wilma I think I heard about it for a week after. I can tell you at least this show hasn't been cancelled due to Covid, which is a nice change of pace. Instead the band is taking some time for mental health reasons, which is very respectable given the state of the world. Here is a statement from the band below:

With the heaviest of hearts, we have decided to cancel the rest of our July and August dates. After being off the last couple of years due to the pandemic, we were excited to hit the ground running with touring," a statement from the band said.

"As amazing as it has been singing and dancing with you every night, the toll of life on the road has finally reached its breaking point. I have decided it is in my and our best interest to take this time to regroup and focus on my mental health. Thank you for all of your concern and understanding. The band and I love you all so much. - Love Ela & RKS
